How we obtain and manage SMS consent
Overview
Private Event Manager only sends SMS messages to users who have explicitly opted in. Phone number entry alone does not constitute consent.
During the registration process at privateeventmanager.com/signup/, users may optionally enter a phone number. If a phone number is entered, the following consent checkbox is displayed and must be explicitly checked before the form can be submitted:
Consent is recorded with a timestamp at the time of registration. No SMS messages are sent until this checkbox has been explicitly checked by the user.
All SMS messages are transactional and directly related to the user's use of the platform:
Message frequency: Varies based on event activity. Typically 1–5 messages per event.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time using any of these methods:
Opting out of SMS does not affect your account status, event access, or any other platform functionality. You may re-enable SMS at any time by replying START or updating your notification settings.
